Is my website blocked?
How to get around the block
Your ISP blocks certain IP addresses. If your connection reaches the internet another way, the affected websites load again. These options are for reaching normal websites the block takes down; using a VPN is legal in Spain.
Cloudflare WARP (free)
Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 app, for phones and computers, has a WARP mode that sends all your traffic encrypted through Cloudflare's network, around your ISP's blocked addresses. Pick the "WARP" mode, not "1.1.1.1": that one only changes your DNS and does nothing against this block.
A VPN
Any reliable VPN routes your traffic through another country or network, and every website loads. There are free versions with limits (Proton VPN, for example) and paid ones. Be wary of unknown free VPNs: they see everything you do.
iCloud Private Relay
On an iPhone, iPad or Mac with iCloud+, Private Relay sends Safari's browsing through other servers. It only covers Safari, not apps.
A browser with a VPN, or Tor
Opera comes with a free browser VPN, and Tor Browser gets around the block too, if more slowly. Both work for opening one website without installing anything else.
Another connection
Mobile data from another ISP, your work network, or an ISP with its own network that isn't under the order also work. Many small brands run on a big ISP's network and block the same way.
What doesn't help
Changing your DNS (to 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8 or similar) does nothing: the problem isn't finding the website, it's that your ISP cuts the connection to its address. Clearing the cache or restarting the router doesn't help either.

Questions and answers
What are the LaLiga blocks?
During football matches, Spain's big ISPs block IP addresses that LaLiga links to pirate streams. They do it under a court order LaLiga and Telefónica obtained from a commercial court in Barcelona at the end of 2024, applied since February 2025. LaLiga sends the addresses; the ISPs cut them off in their networks.
Why doesn't my website load during football?
Because the block is per IP address, not per website. Services like Cloudflare serve thousands of websites from the same addresses. If one of them also serves a pirate stream and LaLiga blocks it, every other website on that address stops loading in Spain: shops, news sites, blogs, work tools. Outside Spain, or on another network, they load as usual.
Which ISPs block?
Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, DIGI and MásMóvil, which is what we measure here. Brands running on their networks (such as Jazztel, Yoigo, Lowi or O2) are usually hit the same way. Each ISP does it its own way: most simply drop the connection, DIGI shows its own page.
When are the blocks on?
On match days. They often start before the first match and only end after the last one, so they can last most of the day. The timeline above shows exactly when each ISP was blocking, with the matches marked.
How do I get around the LaLiga block?
Make your connection go out another way: Cloudflare WARP in WARP mode (free), a VPN, iCloud Private Relay in Safari, Opera or Tor Browser, or mobile data from another ISP. Changing your DNS doesn't help, because the block is per IP address.
How do you measure it?
We use probes of Globalping, a public measurement network, that sit on each ISP's own network. From each one we request a few addresses that are often blocked, and compare with a Spanish network that doesn't block. If the control network gets through and the ISP doesn't, that address is blocked on that ISP. The addresses we test come from the public list of hayahora.futbol; every result on this page is our own measurement.
What can I do if a website doesn't load?
Check above whether its address is blocked. If it is, it usually loads over another connection: mobile data from another ISP, your work network or a VPN. Changing your DNS doesn't help against an IP block. When the match day ends, the website loads again by itself.
My website is affected. What can I do?
Ask your provider (Cloudflare, for example) to serve you from other addresses or a dedicated one, and keep evidence: dates, times and screenshots. You can link this page to show when blocks were on.
Is it legal?
A judge ordered it, but it is heavily disputed: Cloudflare and other organisations have challenged it, because it hits many websites that have nothing to do with football. Meanwhile the ISPs keep applying it on every match day.
