Outage historyNo national, regional (within 400 km) or power outage started in Mexico in this window.
Our probes started during this window; IODA covers the hours before: no drop.
How we check
Every 5 minutes we test thousands of servers and routers in every country from our own probes, combined with IODA. For an earthquake we look at the 72 hours after it, for a storm at the day before to two days after it came closest. We list every national outage, every regional outage within 400 km, and every large power outage.
An outage counts as a disruption when it reached "partial outage" or "blackout" and started within 24 hours. That it started then does not prove the disaster caused it, but a nationwide drop right after a big quake rarely has another reason.
